Slovakia's Juraj Mokry was appointed as an international referee in 2001 after successfully passing the international referee candidates course in Tunisia in 1999. Based on his performance he was nominated by the CEV to officiate at several continental competitions including the Junior and Senior European Championships, the CEV Cup and the European Champions League Final Four. The FIVB then assigned him to several important events, including the Youth and Junior World Championships in Algeria 2005, Morocco 2007 and Italy 2009. In 2011 he performed at the men's CEV Indesit Champions League finals in Bolzano, Italy and in the FIVB Women's World Cup in Japan. Since 2009 he has already overseen several FIVB World League matches and represented the Slovakia Volleyball Federation as an international referee at the 2010 FIVB Women’s World Championship in Japan.
