China
The
Chinese U19 Boy's side has long been a
strong breeding ground for China's
national team.
Typical tall and agile at such a young
age this Chinese U19 Boy's side is no
different. With an average height of 197cm
it will boast one of the taller line ups
at this year's Boy's U19 World
Championship in Thailand and with an
average age of 17 shows that there is
plenty of live in the development of
Chinese Volleyball.
With the team having been selected from
six regional teams in January China has
been gearing up for Thailand for a number
of months and have been perfecting the
best way to utilise their height.
A fourth place finish at the fourth
Asian Youth Championships was a good
precursor of what is to come on the world
stage, especially when their typically
strong traits of blocking and smashing are
on form they will be hard to topple.
Head coach Xin Chuncheng has got some
excellent talent at his disposal and had
moulded this current team beautifully.
