In sharing the $28,000 first-place prize for winning the 19th women’s event on the 2008 SWATCH FIVB World Tour schedule, the top-seeded Boss and Ross scored a 21-17 and 23-21 victory over 15th-seeded Ying Huang and Xi Zhang of China in the 44-minute China Sanya Open finale. SANYA, CHINA, November 15, 2008 - Top seeds Benjamin Insfran and Harley Marques beat fifth seeds Roberto Pitta and Pedro Cunha in straight sets in the 58th SWATCH FIVB World Tour all-Brazilian final here Saturday afternoon to win the men’s gold medal of the US$350,000 China Sanya Open presented by Olympic Garden. With the 21-17 and 21-19 victory in 49 minutes, Benjamin and Harley took a sweet revenge for their 21-19 and 22-20 quarter-final loss to Pitta and Cunha Thursday and shared the $28,000 first-place prize at the 20th and last men’s stops on the 2008 SWATCH FIVB World Tour calendar.
