Lausanne, Switzerland, October 29, 2018 - Whilst in Japan for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship held earlier this month, President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° invited Mikasa President Mr. Yuji Saeki to discuss the development of the two organisations’ successful partnership.

As the official ball supplier for all FIVB volleyball and beach volleyball events across the world, the current agreement between the FIVB and Mikasa is in place until the conclusion of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. However, during their meeting, both presidents were enthusiastic to talk about an extension. Also on the agenda was the emergence of snow volleyball, which continues to grow in popularity all over the world. The two presidents spoke about the development of the alpine sport, and the importance of having a special ball tailored to the unique conditions.

“Our long-standing partnership with Mikasa has incredibly successful for both sides, we consider Mikasa to be a key part of the volleyball family and I am excited to continue this relationship,” the FIVB President said.

“The FIVB is pushing the boundaries of technology and innovation, which is especially important when growing and advancing snow volleyball. We will continue to work tirelessly with our trusted partners to ensure that people from all countries and backgrounds can enjoy the sport of volleyball.”
