FIVB President meets with newly-elected ANOCA President

Lausanne, Switzerland, January 18, 2019 – FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° met today with Mustapha Berraf, the newly-elected President of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA), alongside the FIVB Executive Vice-President and IOC Member Habu Gumel.

During the meeting the FIVB President discussed the development of volleyball in Africa, offering further support in providing volleyball equipment such as balls and nets. The ANOCA President expressed his desire for the FIVB to join the Association’s development centre programme.

During the meeting President Ary Graça said: “Africa is hugely important for us with its 54 member federations. We are committed to providing support to these countries and we are already doing so via the FIVB Development Project Platform. We will continue our dialogue with Mr. Berraf and ANOCA, to bring further support to the continent.”

The ANOCA President has also invited Dr. Ary Graça to the ANOCA General Assembly.
