“China has long been a supporter of the FIVB and the popularity of volleyball continues to grow, particularly after fantastic success at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. It was great to speak with Mr Gou and see his passion for sport - it certainly reflects my own!
“I have made no secret of my ambition to host more events in China, but this meeting was also about the development of grassroots volleyball in Asia as we seek to continue growing the sport. It is clear to me that Mr Gou and the CVA share the same dreams.”
