Manni and Bonifazi make it five home teams in Pinarella main draw

Pinarella di Cervia, Italy, July 25, 2019 – Fabrizio Manni and Carlo Bonifazi ensured that there would be five Italian teams in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Pinarella di Cervia 1-Star main draw when they progressed from the qualifiers on Thursday. 

The Italian pair who are playing in their second World Tour event beat the Czech Republic’s Jakub Gala and Martin Sramek 2-0 (21-13, 21-17) having earlier defeated Russia’s Daniil Kuvichka and Anton Kislytsyn 2-0 (21-13, 21-16). 


Joining them in the main draw are South Africa’s Grant Goldschmidt and Leo Williams, Austria’s Florian Ertl and Johannes Kratz, and USA’s Michael Boag and Timothy Brewster.  

The Pinarella di Cervia 1-Star runs from July 25 to July 28 and is being played in a 2,000-capacity arena in the beachside resort on Italy’s north-east coast.
