Pribanic and Silic secure main draw spot at Siofok

 

Croatia’s Josip Pribanic and Filip Silic won both their qualification matches to make it to the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour main draw at Siofok

Siofok, Hungary, August 23, 2018 – Croatia’s Josip Pribanic and Filip Silic aced both qualification hurdles on Thursday to make it to main draw of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Siofok 1-star at the Plasz Siofok Nagystrand.



Pribanic and Silic posted a 2-0 (21-13, 24-22) win over Serbia’s Aleksandar Gavrilov and Milos Milic, then dashed the hopes of the Czech Republic’s Patrik Manas and Jiri Sedlak to make it to the next round with a 2-0 (21-11, 21-17) victory.

Lithuania’s Patrikas Stankevicius and Matas Navicikas ousted the top pair in the qualification round - Japan’s Yu Koshikawa and Hiroki Dylan Kurokawa – with a 2-0 (21-19, 21-19) triumph.

Finland’s Tepp Pulkkinen and Pekka Piippo and Poland’s Michal Korycki and Martin Chiniewicz put up a gallant fight with two triumphs each to advance to the main draw.
