The 30-year-old outside hitter first stormed the international stage back in 2003 with Cuba, but it is with Italy where he is reaping the most success, claiming a European championship bronze and FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Cup silver in 2015.

Now he will be hoping Italy improve on their bronze medal four years ago with triumph at the Maracanazinho.
