Argentina women start training for Olympic Qualifiers

 

Argentina will be hoping to qualify for the Olympics on home soil

 Buenos Aires, Argentina, November 5, 2015 – The Argentina women’s team, Las Panteras, coached by Guillermo Orduna have started training as they aim for a spot in next year’s Olympic Games. 

The initial group gathering at the Cenard facilities consists of local players from the domestic league, while other players will join in and the intensity will increase as the South American Olympic Games Qualifiers get nearer. 

The Qualifiers will take place in the Argentine city of Bariloche in early January.

The coaching team includes Orduna, his assistant Guillermo Caceres, trainer Marcelo Magliarella, therapist Gonzalo, a doctor and Cenard head Oscar Cantero.

Five of the players called up for training participated in the South American Championship in Cartagena, Colombia. They are: Morena Martinez Franchi, Clarisa Sagardia, Marianela Garbari, Marcia Scacchi and Carla Castiglione. Florencia Busquets also took part as the players aim to be at peak fitness for January.
