PORTO, Portugal, July 30, 2010—Escaping from elimination Friday after playing the final two of three pool play matches, 16 of the world’s best young men’s beach volleyball teams have moved forward to the start of Saturday’s elimination rounds, on the sun-baked Porto sand at the 2010 SWATCH FIVB Youth World Championships, the ninth annual event for players under 19. The round of 16 and the quarterfinals will be held Saturday in the double-gender event at the venue, located adjacent to the Edificio Transparente at the Esplanda do Rio de Janeiro. More
