Vakifbank wins the Women's Turkish Cup

This is the fourth time that Vakifbank Club has won the Teledunya Turkish Cup since 1999. |
Istanbul, Turkey, February 21, 2013 - In the final match of the Teledunya Women's Turkish Cup the Vakifbank Club came out winners after beating Eczacibasi Vitra 3-0 (25-17, 25-12, 25-23).
The final matches of the Teledunya Turkish Cup were organised in Ankara from February 22 to 24 in a tournament format. Vakifbank and Eczacibasi Vitra managed to overcome their opponents Karsiyaka and Galatasaray Daikin in the semi-finals to proceed to the final stage of the tournament. Galatasaray Daikin eventually defeated the Izmir team Karsiyaka to claim third position.
At the ceremony to crown the winners, the Teledunya Turkish Cup was presented to Vakifbank by Turksat Deputy Manager Ali Ok and the Turkish Volleyball Federation President, Ozkan Mutlugil.
