“They were very difficult matches and this victory is very important because we have just formed the duo. We are focused on the 2028 Olympic Games. I am very happy,” commented Ana Luiza.
Marco and Esteban Grimalt reached the title undefeated, taking a total of five wins to claim gold for the second time this year on home courts. It was the duo's third medal in the South American Circuit, after winning gold in the first round, in Rancagua, and bronze in the third round, in Argentina.
“It is an important year, we are starting the Olympic Qualification process, it will be very intense and we are very motivated,” said Marco.
The podium was completed with the bronze medal of Chilean women’s pair Rivas Zapata/Chris and the Brazilian men’s duo Guto/Heitor.
The next stage of the Circuit will be held in Rio Hondo, Argentina, from 21 to 23 April.
