Dr. Saleh A. Bin Nasser re-elected AVC President
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, November 18, 2015 - Dr. Saleh A. Bin Nasser of Saudi Arabia was re-elected AVC President for another four-year term following the support of the 61 national federations attending the 21st AVC General Assembly on Wednesday.
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, November 18, 2015 - Dr. Saleh A. Bin Nasser of Saudi Arabia was re-elected Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) President for another four-year term following the support of the 61 national federations attending the 21st AVC General Assembly on Wednesday.
FIVB and AVC Honorary Life President Mr Wei Jizhong conducted the election process, informing all meeting participants that. Dr Saleh A. Bin Nasser was the lone candidate for the AVC President role. Mr Wei later asked all meeting participants to stand in approval of his re-election and applaud the unanimous decision.
Dr Saleh A. Bin Nasser expressed his heartfelt thanks to all attendants: “I would like to thank FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° for being with us all at this time. Furthermore, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone here. I promise that I will do my best to serve volleyball. I will represent the AVC and FIVB for the global development of volleyball. This is a big encouragement for me. I could not find words grand enough to say thank you. Thank you very much.”
Upon being re-elected the AVC President, Dr. Saleh A. Bin Nasser received congratulations from FIVB and AVC Honorary Life President Mr Wei Jizhong, FIVB President Graça, CEV President Mr Aleksandar Boricic and CAVB President Dr. Amr Elwani.
Following the election for the AVC President, the 20 new members of the AVC Board of Administration selected from all five AVC Zonal Associations were announced.
