Italy release wide roster ahead of 2019 Women's VNL

 

Italy, here celebrating a win in last year's edition, announce group to start preparation for the 2019 FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League.

Lausanne, Switzerland, April 17, 2019 - Head coach Davide Mazzanti has released at a Press Conference today the list of 30 players on Italy's wide roster ahead of the 2019 FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League.



• Setters: Carlotta Cambi, Alessia Orro, Ofelia Malinov, Francesca Bosio, Rachele Morello.
• Middle blockers: Cristina Chirichella, Raphaela Folie, Anna Danesi, Sara Alberti, Sarah Fahr, Beatrice Berti, Alexandra Botezat, Beatrice Molinaro, Agnese Cecconello.
• Liberos: Monica De Gennaro, Chiara De Bortoli, Beatrice Parrocchiale.
• Outside hitters: Lucia Bosetti, Caterina Bosetti, Miriam Sylla, Elena Pietrini, Indre Sorokaite, Sylvia Nwakalor, Anastasia Guerra, Francesca Villani, Elena Perinelli.
• Opposites: Paola Egonu, Terry Enweonwu, Anna Nicoletti, Josephine Obossa.

The list will be reduced to 25 players by 11 May as the entry deadlines approach.

Italy open their VNL campaign in Opole, where they face hosts Poland, Thailand and Germany in the opening week, 21-23 May.

In addition, Italy host two pools of the Preliminary Round, in Conegliano Veneto in Week 2 (with USA, the Dominican Republic and Serbia) and in Perugia in Week 4 (with Korea, Bulgaria and Russia).
