The FIVB is fully commitment to protecting clean sport and clean athletes
Volleyball player Pavel Moroz has accepted the FIVB’s sanction for an anti-doping rule violation. Mr Moroz thereby acknowledged that the prohibited substance Trimetazidine (specified Stimulant) was found in his sample taken during an in-competition test on 29 April 2014, during the Russian National Volleyball Championships 2014, in violation of Article 2.2 of the FIVB Medical and Anti-Doping Regulations applicable at the time.
As a result, he has been sanctioned with a period of ineligibility of fifteen (15) months starting on 1 January 2022 and ending on 31 March 2023.
The case is part of investigations that the FIVB started after the World Anti-Doping Agency provided data and doping test samples collected from the Moscow Laboratory.
The FIVB is committed to protecting clean sport and clean athletes, and maintains a zero-tolerance approach to doping.
