Russia, Serbia and USA complete hat-trick at U18 Worlds

The Europeans and the defending champions continue in great form in Durango

Russia, Serbia and defending champions the United States were the first to reach their third victories at the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U18 World Championship in Durango, Mexico. 

Pool A

Serbia have secured their third victory in the event as the Europeans comfortably took care of Canada, winning their meeting in three sets.

Italy are the only undefeated team in the pool after the Europeans topped Turkey 3-0. The day also had Dominican Republic’s first triumph in the tournament, a 3-1 victory against Peru.

Defending champions the United States won their match for a third-straight day, prevailing over Romania 3-1.

Russia were on the winning side of a five-set battle against Brazil to clinch their third victory and qualify for the Round of 16. Slovakia celebrated their first win, in four sets, against fellow Europeans Bulgaria.
