Volleyball Empowerment Application-based support is based on the highly successful FIVB Development Projects Platform which was launched in 2017. However, FIVB have implemented some key changes and incorporated the platform into Volleyball Empowerment to ensure a smooth and easy experience for our National Federations.
The key change we have made following your feedback, is that the application-based types of support will now be available 365 days a year.
There are three types of support available for application:
Coach support for the development of national teams.
Volleyball equipment support.
A knowledge transfer - formerly coach the coaches
Each supported type will have several application windows throughout the year when all 222 National Federations of categories 1-2-3-4 and 5 can submit their applications. Each FIVB affiliated National Federation can apply once a year for one type of support. Make sure your project has clear goals and will foster the growth of volleyball in your country.
Coach support is available for three, six or twelve months depending on the current level of the national team and their overall goals. National Federations can apply for support in 2022 and 2023 subject to a comprehensive long-term plan shared with the FIVB.
Volleyball Equipment Support: Through this type of support National Federation can apply for indoor and outdoor volleyball floors, volleyballs, beach volleyballs and volleyballs, in addition to volleyball nets and net systems.
Knowledge transfer .
The FIVB is committed to providing support to upskill National Federations in the following key areas:
National Team Coaches Development
National Federation Sports Management and Administration
FIVB will aim to do this by providing a world-class coach or expert in an agreed high-performance area to conduct a seminar for the National Federation.
