General Entry Conditions

• Speak the language used at the FIVB Coaches Course (in-person) that they are applying for
• Be in good health and physical condition and be able to practice coaching skills on the court.
• Actively participate in the whole course program, including classes and ceremonies.

Specific Conditions for FIVB Coaches Courses Level II & III Volleyball (in-person): 

Level II:

• Probation Period: You must have at least 12 months of experience since obtaining your FIVB Coaches Course Level I Volleyball (in-person) certificate.
• Level I can be skipped without requiring the FIVB Coaches Course Level I certificate if the candidate is recommended by their National Federation, accepted by the Organising National Federation/Development Centre, and approved by the assigned FIVB Instructor in collaboration with the FIVB, under any of the following circumstances:
  1. Candidates have a national coaching qualification of a corresponding level that can be recognised by the FIVB and are recommended by their National Federation.
  2. Candidates who have graduated from a sport institute or university as P.E. teachers, and are recommended by their National Federation, providing their degree or diploma.
  3. Current or former volleyball players/coaches competed at the national team level, representing their National Federation, and are recommended by their National Federation.

Level III:

• Probation Period: You must have at least 12 months of experience since obtaining your FIVB Coaches Course Level II Volleyball certificate.
• Recommendation: You must be recommended by your affiliated National Federation.

The organising National Federation or Development Centre sets the tuition fee. Contact them directly for details.

If you pass the exams, you will receive a certificate issued by the organising National Federation or Development Centre, signed by the FIVB Instructor. The FIVB does not issue certificates for these courses. For inquiries regarding past course certificates, contact the organising National Federation or Development Centre to check whether they can reissue them or not.

Each National Federation or club has its own selection process. Contact your affiliated National Federation or the club you’re interested in for more details.
