FIVB World Congress Charts New Course for Volleyball's Future

36th FIVB World Congress 2018 Host City
The 36th FIVB World Congress was held in Cancun, Mexico, on November 15-16, 2018, marking the third time Mexico hosted the event since 1968. The FIVB President expressed pleasure in holding the congress in Mexico, thanking the VIPs and the Mexican Volleyball Federation. The congress aimed to unite under “Act as One,” promoting unity among 222 National Federations for gender equality and respect, with the vision of making volleyball the world’s number one sport.
The President of the Mexican Volleyball Federation expressed gratitude for hosting the congress, noting the event’s positive impact on the federation and pride in the support from the Institute of Sport and Tourism.
Quintana Roo government representatives, where Cancun is located, thanked for choosing the city, emphasizing its role in hosting global events and appreciating FIVB’s confidence.
