The resort city of Alanya on the Mediterranean coast hosted the opening event on Turkiye’s national 2026 Bioderma Pro Beach Tour. Fourth-seeded Sacit Kurt & Tuna Imdat triumphed as the year’s first men’s winners. In Sunday’s final, they managed a tight 2-0 (29-27, 21-19) upset of bracket leaders Yusuf Ozdemir & Batuhan Kuru, who had to settle for silver. The bronze medals went to Bulgaria’s Dimitar Kalchev & Dimitar Mehandzhiyski. In the third-place playoff, the third-seeded team mastered a 2-0 (21-18, 21-18) victory over second-seeded Ahmet Can Tur & Polat Kemal Eser.
The mixed Turkish-Russian pairing of Anna Degirmenci & Adelya Akhmetova topped the women’s podium. In the gold medal showdown, they delivered a 2-0 (21-16, 21-12) upset of bracket leaders Michaela Brinkova & Barbora Rudicka of Czechia. Second-seeded Merve Celebi & Yaren Sencel earned bronze after a 2-0 (21-17, 21-18) sweep of the third-place game against Berfin Ozturk & Esra Demirkiran
