Members of the FIVB Coaches Commission have taken part in the ongoing consultation on the Volleyball Calendar 2029-2032, adding their perspective to the development of the proposed concept.
The Volleyball Calendar 2029-2032 is a key part of the FIVB Strategic Vision 2032 and its ambition to grow the number of people connected to volleyball worldwide from 800 million to 1.6 billion. Central to this work is ensuring that every stakeholder has the opportunity to contribute to the sport’s shared future.
During the session, Commission members considered the proposed concept from a coaching perspective, including how the future calendar could work in practice across training, competition and recovery in both club and national team environments.
The conversation will continue beyond the meeting, with members of the Coaches Commission invited to submit written feedback on the proposed concept. Their views will form part of the wider consultation and be considered alongside contributions from across the Global Volleyball Movement.
The Coaches Commission meeting marked the latest stage of a consultation process that has already involved Continental Confederations, key leagues and National Federations managing leagues, the FIVB Volleyball Leagues and Clubs Council and the FIVB Athletes’ Commission. The process will next move to the FIVB Volleyball Council, ensuring all perspectives are heard and carefully considered in the calendar’s development.
Our commitment remains clear: to listen carefully and build a calendar that works for the entire volleyball ecosystem. That is what Together as One means in practice.
