Members of the FIVB Volleyball Council have contributed to the ongoing consultation on the Volleyball Calendar 2029-2032, providing their feedback on the current concept under development.
The Volleyball Calendar 2029-2032 is a key part of the FIVB Strategic Vision 2032 and its ambition to grow the number of people connected to volleyball worldwide from 800 million to 1.6 billion. Central to this work is ensuring that perspectives from across the Global Volleyball Movement are heard throughout the calendar’s development.
The input of the Volleyball Council follows a wide-ranging series of discussions with stakeholders from across the sport, including Continental Confederations, key leagues and National Federations managing leagues, the FIVB Volleyball Leagues and Clubs Council, the FIVB Athletes’ Commission and the FIVB Coaches Commission.
Through these consultations, the FIVB aims to understand the different priorities and considerations across international and domestic volleyball, ensuring a broad range of perspectives can contribute to shaping a calendar that allows every part of the sport to grow. Feedback received throughout the consultation process will continue to be collated and reviewed as the development of the Volleyball Calendar 2029-2032 progresses.
The outcomes of the consultation will also inform the next stage of the process, before a proposal is brought forward to the Volleyball World Board and then to the FIVB Board of Administration for a final decision.
