The FIVB has published the latest edition of The Global Volleyball Movement, capturing an action-packed period for the sport from May to August 2026 and the continued progress of the FIVB Strategic Vision 2032.

On court, the 2026 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) delivered another hugely successful season of world-class competition, providing exhilarating action to passionate crowds and fans across the globe. Türkiye emerged victorious in the women’s competition, while Poland claimed the men’s title as the VNL once again showcased volleyball at its very best. Meanwhile, Germany swept the podium with double gold at the FIVB Beach Volleyball U18 World Championships, while the USA triumphed in the FIVB Volleyball U17 Girls’ World Championship final and Iran topped the podium to claim the Boys’ U17 world title.
Away from elite competition, the Global Volleyball Movement came together on 7 July for the biggest World Volleyball Day yet. Under the theme #VolleyballYourWay, fans across every continent shared where they play, who they play with and what volleyball means to them.
The period also brought important progress off the court. The FIVB reached the top tier of the ASOIF Governance Review, reinforcing its pledge to achieve “Good Governance State of the Art” and ensure transparency and accountability remain at the heart of the organisation.
Meanwhile, the FIVB International Centre of Excellence programme completed its first application window, with new centres around the world joining the growing network and helping strengthen opportunities for volleyball development and knowledge sharing globally.
From packed arenas and global fan celebrations to stronger governance and new development opportunities, the latest edition reflects a sport moving forward on every front.
